[0:00:15] Eric: Welcome to another episode of Regulation Over Under. It's a game that we played once before, but I don't think Geoff participated. I'm Eric. I'm here with Andrew, Gavin, and now Geoff for the first time ever.
[0:00:30] Geoff: I definitely didn't play it last time, and I am very excited to play it with you guys this time. What did you say the game was called again? Regulation Over Under. Oh, okay. It's weird. It looks to me like it's called IMDB Higher or Lower Game, but...
[0:00:41] Eric: Well, that's because we're using higherorlowergame.com, you dunce, because that is where we are going to get our ratings for this first leg of the game. Last time we did some box office results, and that is what we're going to go with. That's what we're going to start with again last time, or this time. That's because last time, I think I used a different site. This time, I'm using higherorlowergame.com. These get updated every so often. I want to say 2024 was the last time the box office movies were updated, so we'll have to see, but guys, this is a simple game. It's going to give you two, and you're going to tell me which one is the higher of the box office scores. Does that all make sense, Gavin? Is that coming through? Higher gross? Is that what you mean by box office score? Yeah. Mm-hmm. Okay.
[0:01:27] Gavin: I have a question for Andrew. Yep. Okay. Do you remember all six movies that were over a billion dollars?
[0:01:33] Andrew: No, I don't. I was going to say those so Jeff knows, only six, because he wasn't there. You got to remember, Jeff, only six over a billion.
[0:01:40] Eric: I feel like I could name those. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. You know what? Shockingly, you might be able to name more than six, but... We're going to get started here. Box office movies. This was updated in August of 2024, so something to keep in mind. We're going to get going right now. Guys, Sing 2016 or Speed 1994, which had the higher box office. Now, remember, get ready for rush hour. Speed, Keanu, Sandra Bullock, 1994. Sing has... Look at all these names for a movie you've never seen. Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Seth McFarlane, Tori Kelly, whoever that is, John C. Reilly, Taron Egerton, Scarlett Johansson. Wow. The gang's all here.
[0:02:27] Geoff: Here's what I'm going to say. I lived through 1994 as an adult, and I lived through 2016 as an adult, and I remember Speed being a big deal, and I don't remember that Sing existed. So, I'm thinking maybe Speed.
[0:02:41] Andrew: Oh, I don't know. Sing is big. Sing is really big. They were Happy Meal toys.
[0:02:48] Geoff: Oh, well, then go with Sing. I've never heard of it.
[0:02:50] Andrew: I just... I'm surprised Scarlett Johansson has lower billing than Seth McFarlane, but I guess it is a singing thing. Is it animated? It is animated. Yeah, it's like an animated singing contest thing, I think.
[0:03:02] Eric: Yeah, it's got this... It's got like this... What is this? Some kind of animal. Koala. Up at the top. That's Koala.
[0:03:08] Geoff: They hid the main character of the show in a window at the top of the poster.
[0:03:13] Eric: Oh, is Sing the movie with Nick Kroll as like a pig?
[0:03:17] Geoff: Maybe. I don't know. He didn't make the marquee.
[0:03:20] Gavin: Why isn't he on the bloody sign?
[0:03:22] Andrew: Because they had to make room for Seth McFarlane.
[0:03:25] Eric: Taron Egerton had to be on there.
[0:03:27] Gavin: I am worried that Speed got less. I mean, partly for inflation and also... I feel like some of these big old blockbuster summer movies from the 90s didn't actually do that well at the box office.
[0:03:39] Eric: Oh, interesting. They did well at the box office for the time.
[0:03:42] Gavin: Yeah, for the time.
[0:03:43] Eric: So there's three of you, so we can never have a tie, which is nice. So I'm going to let you guys vote. Which one do you think is the higher grossing here? I'm voting Sing. There's like three Sing movies, I think.
[0:03:53] Gavin: I vote Sing, hoping that it's actually Speed. I'm going to vote Speed, knowing that I'll be wrong.
[0:03:57] Eric: Okay, Sing it is. Here it is. $634 million to $350 million. Guys, you are 1 and 0. Now, Sing is $634 million or Guardians of the Galaxy from 2014, which is the higher of the two. Can I ask a question with us? Absolutely.
[0:04:17] Geoff: Is this domestic or international?
[0:04:19] Andrew: No, it has to be international. No, I believe it's international. It's got to be Guardians.
[0:04:23] Eric: There are six movies over a billion dollars, as you know. It's got to be Guardians, then.
[0:04:28] Andrew: Could you imagine a domestic movie, Jeff, that made $634 million that you weren't aware of?
[0:04:35] Geoff: I mean, yeah, I'm pretty clueless these days.
[0:04:37] Andrew: I mean, it's impressive. That's a lot of people seeing it. Yeah, I don't think Clueless made that much.
[0:04:43] Geoff: I still had no knowledge of a movie that made $600 million across our beautiful world, which is interconnected via the internet.
[0:04:51] Eric: Speaking of $600 million, that's the number that it has to beat. So, is Guardians of the Galaxy higher or lower than Sing?
[0:04:56] Andrew: I think Guardians is higher.
[0:04:57] Eric: Higher. Okay, Guardians of the Galaxy is your pick. And it made $773 million. Next, Madagascar escaped the number two Africa from 2008. It's a Ben Stiller joint. Yeah. What do you guys think?
[0:05:15] Andrew: Those movies are huge. They were big. I was the right age demographic for them. So, maybe they felt bigger than they were. Once again, Happy Meal toy situation. Lemurs were the first minions, I would say. People fucking love those little guys. And they do their dumb song. And they were like the weird subset.
[0:05:37] Eric: I'm going to tweet right now. Lemurs were the first minions.
[0:05:42] Geoff: Isn't Chris Rock in Madagascar?
[0:05:44] Andrew: It's, yeah, Chris Rock, Jada Pinkett Smith, David Schwimmer, and Ben Stiller. Yeah. I'm going to say under because of the time period. Okay. Thoughts, boys? It's tough. I think Guardians made more money. I know they made a third one, and that's actually the best one. But that one was kind of disappointing. Gavin? Loa.
[0:06:04] Eric: Okay, so you think Guardians of the Galaxy made more? Yeah, let's go Guardians.
[0:06:07] Andrew: Let's go Guardians.
[0:06:08] Eric: Got it. Guardians. Oh, 603 for Madagascar, too. So, Guardians was more. But now. Minions. Oh, the first Minions versus the current Minions? Minions. Minions were the first Minions.
[0:06:22] Andrew: Holy shit. I got to go Minions. People fucking love those Minions. They're everywhere.
[0:06:27] Gavin: Did they love them from the get-go, though? Or did they?
[0:06:30] Andrew: No. Well, here's the thing. They had like two or three Despicable Me's before this came out.
[0:06:36] Gavin: Oh, right. Minions was not the first Minions. Yeah.
[0:06:39] Andrew: They got their own movie because of how loved they were from Despicable Me.
[0:06:44] Gavin: Oh, it's got to be Minions, then. It's got to be Minions.
[0:06:48] Eric: Yeah. I like, I just want to, looking at these movie posters, this is the most 2008 thing where it is the loudest, greenest thing that is like slamming in your face. And this is just banal. And it says, uh-oh. That's awesome. It's the Apple store of posters. Yeah, no kidding. So you guys are going with Minions as the hire, yes? Yes. Okay. $603 million for Madagascar 2. Minions. One of the six. One of the six. Over a billion dollars. Oh. Wow. But now, now, Minions or Uncharted, a movie that I saw in theaters. You've seen Uncharted.
[0:07:28] Andrew: You're the first person I've ever met that has seen Uncharted. Congratulations.
[0:07:32] Eric: I saw that movie in theaters with Michael Jones. And then when the guy who voices Nathan Drake shows up in the movie as like an Easter egg, he leaned over to me and he went, that's Nathan Drake. This movie sucked. But whether it sucks or not has no bearing on how much money it made. I think it does. Minions over a billion. Well, Minions made over a billion. So what do you guys think? Which one made more here?
[0:08:01] Andrew: I mean, it does have Antonio Banderas in it.
[0:08:05] Geoff: Well, uh. Yeah. Yeah. Minions definitely made more money. Oh, God. Minions it is. 400. I'm amazed it made that much money. That had to all be overseas.
[0:08:15] Eric: Okay. And now it's Uncharted 2022 at 407 million versus 300 Rise of an Empire. And I want to be clear that this is 300 Rise of an Empire from 2014, not the 300 movie that people have seen.
[0:08:33] Gavin: Right. I've never seen this. I didn't know this existed.
[0:08:36] Andrew: Maybe you got to think about international for a minute.
[0:08:39] Gavin: This is the one that Eva Green was in.
[0:08:40] Andrew: Yes.
[0:08:41] Unidentified: Hmm.
[0:08:42] Andrew: Was she in this?
[0:08:44] Gavin: Why did you say yes?
[0:08:44] Andrew: I don't even know who Eva Green is.
[0:08:46] Geoff: Why did you say yes?
[0:08:47] Andrew: Well, because I, I, that feels right. But she's also in Sin City, a Dame to Kill For. And I was like, is she just in these weird sequels that nobody saw?
[0:08:56] Geoff: I only know her from Casino Royale. Sounds like you know her from 300 Rise of the Empire.
[0:09:00] Andrew: Like tonally, it would be very funny if Eva Green is in both 300 Rise of an Empire and Sin City at Dame to Kill For.
[0:09:09] Gavin: Just like two late sequels?
[0:09:12] Andrew: Uh, I, I, I'm Uncharted. I was doing a box office league when 300 Rise of an Empire came out. So I, I'm aware that like it kind of underperformed domestically. Underperformed? Well, I think if you make a 300 sequel, you have some expectation of what it will return. And based on those expectations, it didn't deliver. Definitely didn't match the original. However, international is tricky. I feel like with a movie like 300 Rise of an Empire.
[0:09:40] Geoff: I think, I think $400 million is a lot to beat for a shit for that hunk of shit. When, by the way, Uncharted looks like an absolute hunk of shit. So it's like, it's like picking what's worse, a dog turd or a horse turd.
[0:09:54] Andrew: Yeah, I'd go Uncharted as the higher one.
[0:09:57] Eric: Okay. Uncharted from Andrew. Jeff, what do you think? Um, definitely Uncharted. And Gavin, what do you think? Yeah, I think I'm going to do the same. Okay. Uncharted, we're saying is the higher of the two. Let's see. 407 million.
[0:10:10] Unidentified: Wow.
[0:10:11] Eric: 337 million for a movie I've never heard of. Pretty exciting. Oh. Ah, shit. 300 Rise of an Empire at 337 million. It's Star Wars Episode IV, A New Hope from 1977.
[0:10:23] Geoff: Yeah, but is this going to include all the re-releases? I don't believe so. I think this is just from 1977. Because it made a couple hundred million in like 98 or 99.
[0:10:33] Gavin: When everyone was seeing Star Wars like 15 times in theaters, was that the first one or was that the later ones? First one.
[0:10:40] Geoff: Like Bernie, Bernie saw Star Wars like 42 times the summer it came out or something. Wow. Yeah, like he said, it became a thing where everybody in his family wanted to take him to see it. So I guess he had 40 people in his family.
[0:10:51] Andrew: I could see A New Hope being higher.
[0:10:54] Geoff: But it's $77. Here's the deal. A New Hope is definitely higher if it includes the multiple re-releases. If it doesn't, I don't think there's any way it touches 300 million.
[0:11:05] Andrew: So I did, I was doing a thing where I looked at like the top 10 highest box office from 1970 to like 2022 or something. And there were movies I remember in the 70s being like comparable to what I felt was big releases now for domestic. Like a love story made an insane amount of money. Let's go Star Wars then.
[0:11:29] Eric: I would go Star Wars. Andrew seems to be Andrew seems to be making the case for Star Wars and then not committing.
[0:11:34] Andrew: Well, first of all, I've never seen this movie. I also it came out way before my time. Like I've got I'm the worst point of reference for this.
[0:11:42] Geoff: It came out before all. I was two years old when it came out. I came out before all of our time. Uh, I I'm OK with trying Star Wars. Uh, I just that's a lot of money to make in 1977, but it was it. I mean, it was a huge phenomenon. People saw it so many times.
[0:11:56] Gavin: This was and it was just called Star Wars. This one, right? It wasn't actually called episode four yet. Not yet.
[0:12:01] Eric: Uh, yeah. Yeah. I think it was just called Star Wars. Yeah. Let's say Star Wars. I'd say Star Wars. OK, here we go. Star Wars. 337 million. 775 million.
[0:12:10] Geoff: That has got to include its re-releases. That can't be the box from back then. Otherwise, it would have been the highest-question film of all time until Titanic.
[0:12:17] Gavin: Mm-hmm.
[0:12:18] Geoff: And it wasn't.
[0:12:18] Gavin: That's incredible.
[0:12:20] Eric: Yeah. And now, it's head-to-head with Kong Skull Island from 2017.
[0:12:25] Gavin: Oh, that was a pretty good movie. This one has, like, the China factor, doesn't it? Like, I bet China watched the shit out of this movie.
[0:12:31] Andrew: The China factor. And? It may have. You think Star Wars is lacking the China factor? I think back then it was. Oh, yeah. This is.
[0:12:42] Geoff: Oh. I wonder how many more movie theaters there are in China in 2025 versus 1977.
[0:12:47] Andrew: I will say, and this is just, I don't know, I don't know how much weight we want to put into this, but Kong Skull Island ends in a way that they're setting up for more story that they never deliver on, which makes me wonder if financially it did not hit what they were hoping for.
[0:13:05] Gavin: But didn't it result in Godzilla Kong movie?
[0:13:10] Andrew: I didn't see those, but I don't think Tom Hiddleston or the other person ever came back. And it felt like they were central to what they were setting up.
[0:13:17] Geoff: John C. Reilly? He was in that one, right?
[0:13:19] Andrew: I didn't see him.
[0:13:21] Geoff: Yes. John C. Reilly is in Kong Skull Island. He was the best part of that movie, right? He's like, we're all gonna die.
[0:13:26] Andrew: I don't even remember him. You're good boys.
[0:13:29] Geoff: You're good boys.
[0:13:29] Andrew: I remember Eli from Boardwalk with his grenades. Oh, that was awesome. That part was so good.
[0:13:38] Eric: You shouldn't have come to this island.
[0:13:40] Gavin: I would guess lower, to be honest.
[0:13:43] Eric: You think Kong Skull Island is under the 775 million of Star Wars? I do. Yeah, let's do it.
[0:13:51] Gavin: Otherwise, it'd be a hugely talked about movie, wouldn't it?
[0:13:53] Eric: It felt like it was inescapable at the time, because everyone talked to me about it. But Star Wars Episode IV is what we're going with as the higher. Oh, Kong Skull Island, 568 million. As it is shuffled out, and now Kong Skull Island's 568 million against Casino Royale.
[0:14:11] Gavin: Does that have Eva Green in it?
[0:14:15] Eric: Yes. Who's Eva Green? The star of 302, Eva Green.
[0:14:19] Geoff: I gotta look up Eva Green.
[0:14:22] Eric: Oh, yeah, I know her. So what do you think, Gavin? What's your guts telling you right here?
[0:14:28] Gavin: To be honest, I think I'm always surprised at how low these Bond movie box office results are.
[0:14:36] Andrew: Oh, is that right? You think it did less than 568 million globally? I'd be shocked.
[0:14:42] Gavin: Maybe not less than that, but I feel like it's going to be similar, because Bond was pretty... Bond was in the shitter at this point when this movie came out.
[0:14:50] Eric: That's definitely true.
[0:14:52] Geoff: Bond was in the shitter until this movie came out. This was the big resurrection, and it was like... It was. It was marketed as such, you know? Yeah. Yeah.
[0:14:59] Andrew: I think it's definitely over.
[0:15:01] Geoff: I think it's got to be over as well.
[0:15:03] Gavin: I think it'll be over, but it's close. Okay.
[0:15:06] Andrew: That's like 670 or something. I'm going to go 785. 616!
[0:15:12] Eric: Barely squeaking over. But next, it's Transformers Age of Extinction from 2014. I don't know which one this is. It is just simply Age of Extinction.
[0:15:22] Andrew: It's the Mark Wahlberg one. It's the first, like, kind of reboot one, I think. Or did Bumblebee come out before this?
[0:15:29] Geoff: I think it's the only one I've ever seen. Is this the TJ Miller one?
[0:15:33] Andrew: Yes.
[0:15:34] Geoff: Okay.
[0:15:35] Eric: I think that made a lot of money. But did it make more than 616 million?
[0:15:40] Gavin: I have no idea about this one.
[0:15:42] Andrew: All these movies make so much money. At least the first three did.
[0:15:45] Geoff: I mean, I bet it made $300 million in the U.S. alone.
[0:15:49] Andrew: Also, I forget the sequencing. Like, is this before The Last Night? Is this post The Last Night? Oh, that's the one I've seen, The Last Night. What is The Last Night? It's the Anthony Hopkins Transformers movie. What? That sentence fucking sucks shit. That sucks.
[0:16:08] Geoff: I think that Transformers does really well globally, too. I think I would tend to lead towards Transformers.
[0:16:16] Andrew: Yeah, man, what's the China factor feel on this one?
[0:16:19] Gavin: I reckon China probably put in at least 500 mil of its own.
[0:16:23] Eric: Right? Yeah. Do you think this is going to be one of the six?
[0:16:26] Gavin: It could be. To be honest, it would not surprise me if this was one of the six.
[0:16:29] Andrew: Well, let's do it.
[0:16:30] Eric: All right, then let's go with Transformers Age of Extinction 2014 to beat $616 million. What? One of the six? One of the six? One billion, it's one of the six. But now, boys, it's tough. Oh, no. Because Transformers Age of Extinction is going head-to-head with Transformers Dark of the Moon. Dark of the Moon. Could this be two of the six on the same page? Oh, shit. Fuck. What made more? What made more? One billion dollars is what we're looking at for Transformers Age of Extinction. One billion, one hundred and four million dollars. Transformers Dark of the Moon. What do you think?
[0:17:10] Gavin: The question is, was Age of Extinction riding the high of what people view as one of the good Transformers movies?
[0:17:18] Eric: Based on the poster, yes.
[0:17:20] Gavin: Or was the decline from Dark of the Moon downwards? It is almost the exact same Dark of the Moon sucked.
[0:17:30] Eric: They all look like that, don't they? Oh, God. That's really funny. That is a shocking similarity there. Just glancing at them. The woman is in the exact same spot. That's crazy.
[0:17:43] Andrew: I can't see the woman because of the text. I don't think that's Megan Fox. I think this is the one without Megan Fox.
[0:17:50] Geoff: Rosie Huntington-Whitley, maybe? Was that her name?
[0:17:53] Andrew: Yeah.
[0:17:54] Geoff: One of the non-American supermodels.
[0:17:57] Andrew: That's true. That's how I knew her from that Trivial Pursuit video that probably hasn't come out. It's true.
[0:18:05] Eric: And when you're screaming about that in a few months, people are going to remember this. I forgot about that.
[0:18:14] Gavin: I have no idea. I would have absolutely no idea about this one.
[0:18:18] Geoff: Who's a bigger box office draw, Mark Wahlberg or Shia LaBeouf?
[0:18:22] Andrew: But I think it's Optimus Prime. I don't think...
[0:18:26] Gavin: Yeah, but he's in both, so we have to... Yeah, he's clearly in both. He's right there, both times. I mean, his head's kind of cut off in the other one.
[0:18:32] Eric: Yeah, but so is the bottom. I think we're just kind of pushed in a little bit. That's a good point.
[0:18:36] Andrew: This is tough.
[0:18:37] Gavin: This is so tough.
[0:18:38] Geoff: I just can't imagine a Transformers movie making another $1.1 billion. I can't imagine the Transformers Dark of the Moon beating $1.1 billion because I can't imagine any Transformers movie making $1.1 billion. But one clearly did.
[0:18:54] Gavin: I can't believe that on paper, both of these movies are better than Casino Royale.
[0:18:59] Geoff: Yeah, better. On paper, both of these movies are better than anything we've seen so far today.
[0:19:05] Eric: These are the best movies ever made.
[0:19:09] Gavin: So this Age of Extinction beat Guardians in 2014.
[0:19:13] Geoff: Oh, it's better.
[0:19:14] Gavin: Yeah.
[0:19:14] Geoff: It didn't just beat it. It beat the shit out of it. Beat the fucking out of the shit.
[0:19:17] Gavin: Pummeled the shit.
[0:19:19] Unidentified: Yep. Prime presents Perfect Pairings. What pairs with Reacher on Prime? Reaching for a sparkling punch delivered with Prime. It's an unbelievable feeling when you're enjoying a punch. At the same time, Reacher is enjoying punching people. Wow. He's still punching people. Entertainment meets fast delivery. It's on Prime. Welcome aboard VIA Rail. Please sit and enjoy. Please sit and stretch. Steep. Flip. Or that. And enjoy. VIA Rail. Love the way.
[0:20:05] Eric: What do you think, boys?
[0:20:06] Andrew: Oh, man. It's tough because, like, quality doesn't matter. Not at all. Zero. No shit. Have a look. Clearly it doesn't matter. Uh.
[0:20:19] Eric: Oh, boy.
[0:20:20] Andrew: I would go Age of Extinction, I think.
[0:20:24] Eric: Age of Extinction from Andrew. Gavin, what do you think? But it's 50-50 in my eye.
[0:20:30] Gavin: Yeah, there's that, like, delay. Like, the, as the movies go downhill, the box office needs, like, a movie to realize that they're going downhill.
[0:20:37] Andrew: I think Jeff bringing up that we know that that made 1.1 billion makes me want to pick it. I think if we didn't know the number of either, I would probably go Dark of the Men.
[0:20:45] Gavin: Yeah. All right. I'm fine with going Age of Extinction.
[0:20:49] Geoff: Jeff, you going Age of Extinction as well? I mean, majority rule, so my answer doesn't really matter, but yeah. Oh, no. Oh, no. I would go with Age of Extinction. You're definitely a part of this, yeah. It's very swayable, I feel like. No, no, I know. I think we're all pretty, we're all pretty malleable right now. I could be bought as well. I'm ready to sell out. I wonder which one of these movies Michael Bay likes more.
[0:21:14] Eric: Great question. Probably the one that made the most money. Yeah, probably. I would think so. Transformers, Age of Extinction, $1.1 billion is what we're choosing over Transformers, Dark of the Moon. Here we go. Whoa! Wow! Dark of the Moon, $1.123 billion. Wow. Guys. Fuck. Guys. Wow. You got 10.
[0:21:39] Gavin: That was a tough question there.
[0:21:40] Eric: That was a really tough one. Insane. That's the way it goes with regulation over under. You never know. You never know what it could be.
[0:21:48] Geoff: You know what would be a torturous piece of content for us to create? What's that? We're doing Wheel of Decades right now, which is TV-based, and we're watching, well, currently we're watching Charmed, and then we're going to have to vote again real soon to see if we're going to continue to watch Charmed or not. What if we had a wheel where we had to watch movie franchises, and we ended up having to watch all 900 Transformers movies?
[0:22:07] Eric: Ugh. I just don't even want to, I don't even want to broach that.
[0:22:10] Geoff: I tried to watch the first one three separate times, and I just couldn't get past 45 minutes any of the three times.
[0:22:18] Andrew: The Linkin Park one?
[0:22:19] Geoff: And that's a good one, considering. Yeah. I know. I saw the night one because it was on a plane, and I had nothing else to do, and it was atrocious.
[0:22:27] Eric: Yeah.
[0:22:28] Geoff: Well.
[0:22:29] Gavin: I think the second one was the first time I started yawning in the middle of an action scene.
[0:22:34] Eric: Oh, that's brutal. Oh, God. Well, boys, your score here was tough, but we're going to go into another one, and this is a Spotify higher or lower game. Oh, no. And this is going to be artists, monthly listeners. Love it. Okay. This was updated in January of 2025, so January of this year. Okay. Higher or lower on these monthly listeners. I'm so excited for you guys to have a choice here. Sum 41 and Pearl, dude, who had the higher monthly listeners?
[0:23:07] Geoff: All right. Everybody roll your brains back six months. Yeah. I would assume Pearl Jam. You would assume Pearl Jam just based on quality of music, but I will say Sum 41 has gone through some sort of a resurgence in the last year or so, I feel like. They just put out their final album. They did. Without their drummer. When did they put it out, though? Did they put it out before January?
[0:23:30] Andrew: I think around January.
[0:23:32] Geoff: Yeah, maybe not.
[0:23:33] Andrew: I would still go Pearl Jam.
[0:23:34] Eric: All right, let's go Pearl. I'll go Pearl Jam as well. Gavin, what do you think? Sure. Pearl Jam, 14 million. Oh, Sum 41 with nine. So we got Pearl Jam going up against Rich the Kid. Gavin, what do you think about Rich the Kid and his success alongside Pearl Jam?
[0:23:50] Gavin: Never heard of Rich the Kid, so I assume much more successful than Pearl Jam.
[0:23:53] Andrew: Yeah, but what about the China factor with Rich the Kid?
[0:23:56] Gavin: I don't know how the China factor works with music. I'm not sure. I have no information. Uh, Spotify and China.
[0:24:02] Andrew: Anytime it is older artist against an artist named The Kid, I'm always going to go The Kid.
[0:24:09] Geoff: We going with The Kid? Yeah, my line of thinking as well is this is somebody who is clearly young that I have never heard of, so they must be massive.
[0:24:18] Eric: All right. All right. Rich the Kid going up against Pearl Jam's 14 million monthly listens. Rich the Kid, 5 million. Boys are sunk. We suck. Can we do that one again? You want to do that one more time? Yeah, let's do that one more time. No problem. Cardi B against Charlie XCX. Oh, I got no idea. Now remember, this is January. Yeah, this is January. Charlie XCX. This is January. Post-Bright summer, right? Yeah, but still probably riding a little bit high off-Bright summer. I'm sure. Yeah. Yeah. Pretty close. Close, though. 32 million. Yeah, 32 million for Charlie XCX. Oh, no. Against Kygo. What do you think? Kigo? Kygo. Kygo.
[0:24:55] Geoff: Kygo. It looks like EDM, not my wheelhouse. I'm going to stick with Charlie XCX, because I don't want it to be him, just based on his hat. Just based on his hat? Well, it's the way he's wearing his hat and making that face just tells me I would rather Herbie have the success.
[0:25:10] Andrew: He does have a Billy the Bass look in that photo. Tough. Tough. Yeah, Charlie.
[0:25:18] Eric: Okay, Charlie. And Gavin, what do you think? Are you still celebrating a brat summer at this point? I think so. Yeah. Okay.
[0:25:25] Geoff: He looks like a bully's sidekick in the 90s.
[0:25:28] Andrew: Oh, I can see you with the hat. Yeah.
[0:25:29] Geoff: He looks like the guy from Clerks.
[0:25:32] Andrew: He does look like Randall.
[0:25:34] Geoff: Yeah, he does. Wow! Look at that!
[0:25:39] Eric: Neck, neck. 31 million. Woo! But now here's 31 million against Kaliuchi's. What do you think?
[0:25:44] Andrew: Kygo, all the way. Kygo. Kygo. Kygo as well. 31.
[0:25:48] Geoff: Okay. Yeah.
[0:25:50] Andrew: In a world in which I don't know either, I will always...
[0:25:53] Geoff: Oh, fuck, oh, fuck, he lost.
[0:25:54] Andrew: No!
[0:25:55] Geoff: He lost. My Spotify is so incredibly different than this Spotify.
[0:26:01] Eric: Well, guys, I know that that one's tough. We can do it one more time, but I have another one locked and loaded. If you're not feeling the Spotify one, I know it's...
[0:26:08] Andrew: Let's do another one. I think we know... You want a different one? Yeah. Okay. I think we've established where we're at.
[0:26:13] Eric: Shield your eyes, because you're not going to like what we're about to see.
[0:26:16] Geoff: Okay. Pause it closed.
[0:26:16] Eric: All right. Guess which MrBeast video has more views on YouTube? A game of higher or lower video stats for MrBeast. Updated July 2024. Guys, now which of these is going to have... He's suck. Last YouTuber to leave wins $100,000 challenge, or I built Willy Wonka's chocolate factory?
[0:26:39] Andrew: Gavin, China factor. Which one?
[0:26:42] Gavin: Oh, man. I'm trying to think if I've ever seen one of these videos. I also... Who are all those YouTubers? What do you mean? They're... Well, one of them has $100,000. Okay.
[0:26:52] Eric: So, you know.
[0:26:54] Gavin: I feel like the ones with money in the title might do better.
[0:26:57] Eric: Uh-huh.
[0:26:58] Gavin: Yeah. But I've also never seen any of these.
[0:27:02] Andrew: Uh-huh. I'm going off of the one that uses an established brand already.
[0:27:07] Eric: Oh, smart. Very smart. Jeff, any thoughts?
[0:27:11] Gavin: His face is going to be bigger on that thumbnail.
[0:27:13] Geoff: Mm-hmm. I will say, also, yeah, there's got to be broader reach. The funnel's got to be bigger for a Wonka video than... Although, Gavin's right about money. Putting money in the title is a big deal. I would argue that that's probably most of the reason that dude is successful to begin with. Got to make a choice here. Which one has more views?
[0:27:37] Eric: Andrew says Wonka.
[0:27:38] Geoff: Oh, fuck.
[0:27:39] Eric: I'll say Wonka. It's two for Wonka. Gavin, do you still think it's the YouTube one, or do you think it might be Wonka?
[0:27:44] Gavin: I'll Wonka it up. Okay. Well, Wonka.
[0:27:48] Eric: 308 million? To 103 million. Not even close. So now it's the 308 million of I Built Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory 2 donating $100,000 to random streamers.
[0:27:59] Geoff: Knowing that that guy does essentially the same thing we used to do, and he gets 308 million views a video makes me... Just so you guys are aware, when we're done recording, I'm going to kill myself. I'm going to go... It's over. I mean, that's... I might not make this stream later today.
[0:28:14] Eric: I mean, that's fine. As long as maybe we get the high score on the Mr. Beast YouTube video count videos, then I think that's fine, man. This is... And also, take a picture like Mr. Beast, and this could be the thumbnail of you to do. I guess how many views Mr. Beast has.
[0:28:35] Geoff: Yeah, I got to live long enough to Photoshop myself into that thumbnail. Okay.
[0:28:39] Eric: Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep. Sorry, man. You're going to have to keep it going. Now, 308 million. Tough to beat, but donating $100,000 to random streamers. Do those streamers drive a lot of traffic to Mr. Beast? Who knows? What are you guys thinking? What's more popular?
[0:28:55] Gavin: But chocolate or tits?
[0:28:58] Eric: Oh, they got to be neck and neck, man.
[0:29:02] Geoff: Gavin has a good point.
[0:29:04] Andrew: I'm sticking with Wonka, I think. Because he was doing... He does a chocolate thing, right? So, like, this probably was tied to that, and then that's a shareable thing.
[0:29:14] Geoff: And 300 million views is just a huge mountain to overcome. I mean, not for Beast. Like, this video could do 250 million views, and it would be, you know, that it's an insane amount, but it'd still be almost 60 million views under that one. I'm going to stay with Wonka.
[0:29:31] Andrew: He's in the thumbnail. I'm going to stay. I think Wonka.
[0:29:35] Eric: Sure. Yeah. Wonka it is. 308 million. Oh, see, only 63. Wow. Only 63 million. What a bomb for him. Pathetic failure. Can a glowing 1,000 degree sword slice a car in half? Does that have more or less than the 63 million?
[0:29:52] Gavin: That sounds like old Mr. Beast to me.
[0:29:54] Geoff: I think that has less. That seems like a 20 million view video.
[0:29:59] Eric: That is... We are dealing in such insane numbers. It's so crazy.
[0:30:06] Geoff: I know.
[0:30:06] Andrew: I mean, he's not in either thumbnail, so you've got to remove that from the equation.
[0:30:14] Gavin: Well, we're only seeing half the thumbnail.
[0:30:16] Andrew: That's true, and that might be Mr. Beast.
[0:30:19] Gavin: Yeah, that could be him with a beard. I haven't seen him with a beard.
[0:30:23] Eric: What's his name? Jimmy? That might be him.
[0:30:25] Gavin: Jimmy Donaldson, I think.
[0:30:28] Eric: Oh, I didn't know that. I thought his name was like Jimmy Beast. Jimmy Beast! So his last name was Beast? Yeah, I just never... His name is Mr. Beast. I just... I don't know why I thought... Real Rascal Flatts situation there. Johnny Caviar wants to know how you know about Jimmy Beast.
[0:30:41] Andrew: Who told you about Jimmy Beast? Keep in talking. I'm going to go with the $100,000 to random streamers. Okay. Okay.
[0:30:49] Gavin: Yeah, I'll go with that.
[0:30:50] Andrew: Yeah? Jeff?
[0:30:52] Eric: Yeah. Okay. $63 million to $69 million!
[0:30:56] Geoff: Boys, you'll lose again.
[0:30:58] Eric: You'll lose again. But that's okay. To round us out, we're going to do the box office one more time. Yeah, here we go. And this will be... This is where it takes us out. The Conjuring 2. Inside Out. Inside Out. Inside Out. Inside Out 2015. No conversation needed. No, don't need it. Yep. They need to conjure some more dollars. $859 million. Yeah, $322 million. Very easy. Inside Out against the greatest showman from 2017.
[0:31:25] Andrew: Very big, but inside out.
[0:31:27] Eric: Now, I know that the greatest showman is a thing that you guys love to talk about all the time, but you have to think about the wider audience. Did more people see The Greatest Showman from 2017? Well, this is Hugh Jackman.
[0:31:39] Andrew: It is. Any overlap between Inside Out and The Greatest Showman? Hugh Jackman isn't in either. Tough, I don't know. Bill Hader isn't in either.
[0:31:50] Geoff: He doesn't pop claws, but he does sing.
[0:31:53] Andrew: What if Louis Black was The Greatest Showman? He's the connector between the two.
[0:31:58] Geoff: I think The Greatest Showman probably made somewhere in the $400 to $500 million range globally. Okay. Should we go on Inside Out?
[0:32:05] Eric: Inside Out. Yeah, it's the Pixar factor. $461 million for Greatest Showman. Good guess, Jeff. So now, it's The Greatest Showman, $461 million against Doctor Strange from 2016. I think Doctor Strange had to do it, right?
[0:32:18] Andrew: It's definitely Doctor Strange. We're still in prime Marvel. We're still dealing towards the Thanos thing.
[0:32:23] Gavin: Yeah, we're still at the point where we would watch anything if it had Marvel Studios at the front.
[0:32:27] Eric: Yeah, pretty much. Absolutely. So you guys going to Doctor Strange? Yep. Absolutely. Doctor, Doctor, give me the news. I got a bad case of Doctor Strange. $677 million against The Grink from 2018.
[0:32:44] Gavin: Ooh.
[0:32:44] Eric: I'd go to The Grinch.
[0:32:46] Gavin: People love The Grinch.
[0:32:48] Andrew: Yeah. Tyler, the creator, doing a song for it. It's another illumination joint. It's a holiday film.
[0:32:54] Gavin: Oh, but this isn't the Jim Carrey one.
[0:32:56] Eric: No. No, no, no. This is Bambadig... Wait, is this the same guy? Is it? I don't know who did The Grinch for it. I don't know who did The Grinch in 2018. Isn't he The Grinch? I don't know. Is he? Look up who did the voice for Grinch 2018. I think it's the same guy. This might be a head-to-head battle with one head.
[0:33:13] Geoff: Shit. You know what? Louis Black... Holy shit, it is. It's Benedict Cumberbatch. He was both. Oh, wow. That's crazy. That's crazy. I still think it's The Grinch, personally.
[0:33:22] Andrew: Yeah, I'm going The Grinch.
[0:33:23] Geoff: Oh, wow.
[0:33:24] Eric: I don't even know. Yeah, yeah, sure. All right. Well, let's see if The Grinch can pull it out.
[0:33:30] Unidentified: No!
[0:33:31] Eric: Whoa! $540 million. Oh, we got to see it! Tom Cruise! So sad looking at you. This is no chance of an Oscar with that performance. You're going to do better next time. And look at how sad he is, boys.
[0:33:46] Geoff: Andrew, as a man who has recently seen every single Tom Cruise movie, can you name this film just by this scene?
[0:33:51] Andrew: Yeah, it's Mission Impossible 3. It's him in the chair.
[0:33:53] Geoff: Okay, there you go.
[0:33:54] Andrew: Oh, wow. Most iconic tier. Cinema.
[0:33:57] Gavin: What word is he saying here?
[0:33:59] Andrew: Don't. He's saying don't. Because he's going to kill. It's in the beginning. Duh. And then he shoots him in the face. Well, he shoots her in the face.
[0:34:06] Gavin: I thought he was saying no.
[0:34:07] Eric: Well, boys, your highest score was 10. Regulation over under. It's a rough go. We can end it here. We can play another round. What are you guys feeling? I mean, I don't ever want to stop recording.
[0:34:19] Gavin: What if you did a ratings one?
[0:34:20] Eric: What am I going to do? Go back to my real life? No, thank you. Oh, go to more games? Well, if you insist. Now, we have movie ratings. Yeah, try it. This is movie ratings based on the IMDb movie rating stats from February of 2025.
[0:34:36] Andrew: Okay, so these are community stats.
[0:34:40] Eric: From this year, February of this year. Now, which has the higher rating Book of Eli or The Extraterrestrial?
[0:34:50] Andrew: We'll say people love Book of Eli, but E.T. It's a great movie. It has to be E.T. It's got to be E.T.
[0:34:56] Eric: I've never seen it written that way.
[0:34:58] Geoff: The Extraterrestrial?
[0:34:59] Eric: Just not E.T. The Extraterrestrial. It's just the... Yo, man, do you guys see The Extraterrestrial yet?
[0:35:06] Geoff: I don't think I've ever met somebody who didn't like Book of Eli, but I also don't think I've ever met anybody who didn't like E.T.
[0:35:12] Andrew: I was blown away in the last half of E.T. when it was revealed that he was blind the entire time. I could not believe it.
[0:35:18] Eric: I think the ending of Book of Eli is so fucking goofy that it makes the rest of the movie like so like disregardable. It's so dumb. It's so dumb.
[0:35:27] Gavin: I've never seen it.
[0:35:28] Eric: I like it. Oh, it's the grayest movie in the world. It is... It's very gray. Yeah, it's pretty gray. It's the... Desaturate everything. It's crazy. All right. E.T. is what we're picking here. 7.9 against 6.8. Way too close. Way too close.
[0:35:44] Unidentified: Prime presents Perfect Pairings. What pairs with Reacher on Prime? Reaching for a sparkling punch delivered with Prime. It's an unbelievable feeling when you're enjoying a punch. At the same time, Reacher is enjoying punching people. Wow, he's still punching people. Entertainment meets fast delivery. It's on Prime. Welcome aboard V-Rail. Please sit and enjoy. Please sit and sip. Play. Post. Taste. View. And enjoy. Via Rail. Love the way.
[0:36:29] Eric: The Patriot! Now, remember, this is the Patriot from 2000. This is pre-9-11. And also, we're rating based on the movie itself, I assume, and not the personal politics of the man whose face is on the giant poster.
[0:36:44] Geoff: It's also pre-fall of Mel Gibson, though. That is true. Yeah. I still think E.T.'s got to be...
[0:36:51] Andrew: Oh, it's definitely higher. Patriot is not loved. But it is a movie that I enjoy because it was on CBS all the time for me as a kid.
[0:37:02] Geoff: Wasn't Heath Ledger in that, too? He sure is. He was. Yeah. Interesting that the father and son of the very American, pro-American movie, The Patriot, were both Australian.
[0:37:12] Eric: Yep.
[0:37:14] Geoff: Something to think about.
[0:37:15] Eric: Are we going with the extraterrestrial? Yeah.
[0:37:17] Andrew: I think...
[0:37:18] Eric: Yeah.
[0:37:19] Andrew: I don't think there's been a movie in which the villain burns everybody alive in a church that has more than a 7.9. Okay. It's just a fact. 7.2. 7.2 is so much higher than I thought.
[0:37:31] Eric: Very close. Now, 7.2 for The Patriot or Prisoners. Get the fuck out of here. Prisoners. All the way.
[0:37:37] Andrew: Prisoners is awesome.
[0:37:38] Geoff: I've never seen it. Never heard of it.
[0:37:40] Andrew: You guys have not seen Prisoners?
[0:37:42] Eric: You haven't seen Prisoners? Oh, my God. It's so good. I don't even know what it is. It's Denny Bellineau before he did Arrival, and it is phenomenal. It is a stunning movie. It's phenomenal. It's phenomenal.
[0:37:55] Andrew: It's about Hugh Jackman's child gets abducted, and they're trying to figure out what happened. It's so good.
[0:38:03] Gavin: It's so good. It's a maze inside the O. It's the prisoners.
[0:38:08] Eric: You have to watch Paul Dano be mean to a dog. 2013 Prisoners. Do you think it's higher than the 7.2? It's so much higher.
[0:38:14] Andrew: I bet it's like an 8.3.
[0:38:15] Geoff: I'm going to follow Andrew. I don't think it'll be an 8.
[0:38:19] Andrew: You don't think it'll be an 8? I think it's definitely an 8.
[0:38:22] Gavin: I think 8.3 is like supremely high for IMDb, isn't it?
[0:38:27] Andrew: It is, but like this is one of, I think, I think people that watch this movie consider it an all-time great.
[0:38:33] Gavin: Oh, shit. Go for it, then. I'd love to see an 8.
[0:38:35] Eric: Okay. Prisoners locking in. Does it beat the 7.2 of the Patriot? 8.2! Wow! Way to go, Andrew. Nailed it. Now. Now.
[0:38:52] Andrew: About it is that it is disappointing. So. Yeah.
[0:38:55] Geoff: Yeah. Yeah. It's prisoners. It's like the de-aged everyone, right? Yeah. Mm-hmm. But they still move like old people. Yes. It's brutal. I gotta go prisoners.
[0:39:06] Andrew: It's definitely prisoners. Yeah. Yeah.
[0:39:08] Eric: I mean, as Gavin said, an 8 is a very high number on IMDb. So. Tough to beat. So we're gonna go with prisoners here. 7.8 for the Irishman. Wow.
[0:39:18] Andrew: That's so much higher than I would have guessed.
[0:39:20] Eric: The Princess Bride from 1987. Can it beat the 7.8 of the Irishman?
[0:39:29] Andrew: I mean, how can you not like the Princess Bride?
[0:39:33] Geoff: Once again, I don't know if I've ever met anybody who didn't like the Princess Bride.
[0:39:36] Andrew: I mean, on paper, like. There's no way the Irishman is more like the IMDb than the Princess Bride, right? Like that just isn't. That's not a thing. Like if we take away the 7.8 and just look at it as these two movies, it's like without question, right? The Princess Bride.
[0:39:53] Geoff: How do you rate a movie on IMDb? Are you. Do you have to create an account to do it? I think so. I bet you do. I think so. So we're dealing with the kind of people. Just put ourselves in the mind. The kind of people who create accounts on on the Internet to rank film, basically only for that purpose and to comment on film. That's a pretty deep film junkie. Yeah, I got to think Princess Bride.
[0:40:20] Gavin: I just think that's such a wild poster that they're using the Columbo reading to the kid as the movie poster.
[0:40:28] Eric: So what do you guys think? Princess Bride or Irishman?
[0:40:31] Andrew: I think Princess Bride. If it's not, I'm going to watch the Irishman tonight to evaluate this.
[0:40:38] Eric: OK, well, 7.8 is what we're trying to beat here. Princess Bride. Eight on the nose. It's a high score. The Spy Who Loved Me, 1977. Gavin, do you think that movie is higher than an eight on IMDb?
[0:40:55] Gavin: I mean, it's a classic. It's not it's not Moore's worst.
[0:40:59] Eric: I don't know how to measure that.
[0:41:02] Andrew: Glowing in doors.
[0:41:05] Gavin: I mean, he had some stink pots.
[0:41:07] Andrew: This is going to be all on you, Gavin.
[0:41:09] Gavin: It is a cool poster. I mean, I don't think does any Bond have an eight? Skyfall, probably. Maybe Casino Royale. Yeah, maybe Casino Royale. This one certainly doesn't have an eight. I'll tell you that. OK.
[0:41:19] Eric: OK. OK. So we're going. We're trusting Gavin's. Yeah. It's a seven on the nose. So seven is what we're up against. Everything. Oh, fuck. Everywhere. All at once. I feel like this is easy. It's everything. That's everything.
[0:41:39] Geoff: Absolutely. Recency Bias Alone. That movie. Yeah.
[0:41:42] Eric: Everybody loves that movie. It's got everything. It's got Jamie Lee Curtis. It has the raccoon. It's got the weird fingers. It's got it all here.
[0:41:49] Gavin: It's got like apples smashing together. Really? Yeah. Two rocks made me cry.
[0:41:57] Eric: I actually hate that part. And I fast forward it when I see that.
[0:42:00] Gavin: So you fast forwarded through those 14 frames.
[0:42:03] Eric: Uh huh. Yeah. I need to get through them faster. I'm doing fast mode guys. Well, we're going with everything. Everywhere. All at once to beat the seven. The spy who loved me. Seven point eight. Seven point eight. Against 1917 from 2019. Thoughts?
[0:42:24] Geoff: I didn't see it.
[0:42:26] Andrew: Was it right? I think people really like 1917 though.
[0:42:29] Geoff: Nothing with Harry Styles in it.
[0:42:30] Andrew: No, that's Dunkirk.
[0:42:32] Geoff: Oh, okay.
[0:42:33] Andrew: 1917 is the one shot one, right? Yeah. Like one shot.
[0:42:37] Gavin: In quotes, one shot. Hard to beat seven point eight.
[0:42:41] Andrew: Yeah.
[0:42:42] Gavin: Yeah, but it was. I mean, it's war though. I feel like the war ones always score pretty high.
[0:42:47] Andrew: Yeah, and it's tough to like have to evaluate how culturally everywhere, everything, everywhere all at once was. Like I felt like I heard about that movie nonstop, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's a higher than IMDb.
[0:43:00] Gavin: I just think because it's such a crazy looking movie, less people would have seen it.
[0:43:06] Andrew: Yeah. I guess it becomes a weird thing though, too, of like people have to search these movies, right? To put in a ranking.
[0:43:13] Geoff: Yeah. Also, you have to think, too, like you say less people have seen it, but the people that did see it probably would be more inclined to like it because of the visuals. So I don't know. Hmm.
[0:43:25] Andrew: Are people voting on IMDb tricked by a fake one shot?
[0:43:29] Geoff: Yeah. Yeah.
[0:43:30] Andrew: Probably.
[0:43:31] Geoff: I think still everything, everywhere, all at once probably has a higher rating.
[0:43:35] Andrew: Seven point eight is a tough number to beat. When I think about it comparatively, though, I feel like the Patriot being seven point six nineteen seventeen has to be more than point four or yeah, more than point four. At least I think it's an eight could be an eight if the Patriot is seven point six.
[0:43:54] Gavin: Mm hmm.
[0:43:55] Andrew: I feel like nineteen seventeen feels like it could be above the Patriot. Do people like the Patriot way more than I realize? I don't think so.
[0:44:03] Eric: I didn't know that the Patriot was like a well liked.
[0:44:05] Geoff: I don't remember it being particularly. I remember coming out and, you know, being a summer movie, but I don't remember doing particularly well or anything. Mm hmm. So which one are we going with, boys? I I already said I'm going with everything, everywhere, all at once.
[0:44:17] Andrew: I'm going to go nineteen seventeen. So it's going to be Gavin. Gavin, the tiebreaker.
[0:44:20] Gavin: I just when it comes down to this, I just think, what would my parents go for? Uh huh. Are your parents rating movies on IMDb? I'd go nineteen seventeen.
[0:44:33] Eric: Nineteen seventeen is the pick. Uh, Jeff, you have something a lot over these guys. If it's wrong. Seven point eight. The number to beat. Nineteen seventeen. Eight point two. Great job, guys. Incredible.
[0:44:45] Geoff: My finger was not on the pulse there. Now. That's not a good film and it did not do well. No. What?
[0:44:52] Eric: Superman for the quest for peace. No. Nineteen eighty-seven. No. Nuclear power in the best hands. It is dangerous. In the hands of Lex Luthor, it is pure evil.
[0:45:03] Gavin: It's the only Superman film I've never seen. It's so bad. I haven't seen the new one, actually.
[0:45:09] Eric: Nineteen seventeen. No.
[0:45:11] Geoff: Yeah, I'm on nineteen seventeen.
[0:45:12] Eric: Okay, nineteen seventeen. Do you think this movie is above a six?
[0:45:16] Geoff: No.
[0:45:17] Eric: No.
[0:45:18] Andrew: I'll agree with that.
[0:45:19] Gavin: Three point seven. That is so bad.
[0:45:23] Eric: Oh, Superman for the quest for peace versus Justice League twenty seventeen.
[0:45:28] Geoff: I think Justice League three point seven. Three point seven is pretty fucking low.
[0:45:32] Andrew: It's that is absurdly low. I don't think Justice League was that low, although. No, it's not that low. I'm not going to overthink it.
[0:45:39] Geoff: I bet it's like a four point eight or something.
[0:45:42] Eric: That sounds right. Yeah, I was going to say, do you think Justice League, which I assume you guys are picking, do you think it cracks a five?
[0:45:48] Andrew: No, I think four point eight to five point two is the range I would put it in.
[0:45:52] Gavin: And then we're talking the Joss Whedon one.
[0:45:55] Eric: Uh, yeah, I guess we are. I can't tell from this, but twenty seventeen, I would think so. It has color. So I think it is the. Yeah.
[0:46:03] Unidentified: Yeah.
[0:46:04] Eric: Okay. We locking it in. Yeah. Justice League twenty seventeen. Six. Yes. Wow. There you go. There you go. Rush. Oh, people love. Twenty thirteen.
[0:46:14] Gavin: People love.
[0:46:15] Eric: People love Rush. Love Rush. Let's got to do better than six. You know, people, they love Rush.
[0:46:22] Andrew: They do. It is like the definitive Ron Howard movie. I feel like in the sense of like nobody really cares or seen it like it doesn't shake anything. But the people that do go, oh, it was pretty good. Yeah, it's fine.
[0:46:34] Geoff: You just did. That is every Ron Howard film.
[0:46:38] Eric: Rush, you think it beats the six of Justice League? That's what we're going with. I do. Yeah. Okay. I think people really rush. 2013. Eight point one. People love Rush. It's a high eight. Eight is a high score. Now you see me, too, from 2016.
[0:46:53] Andrew: The people that don't vote on IMDb ratings love Now You See Me, too, but this is IMDb rating, so it's Rush. Yeah. Gavin, any thoughts on Now You See Me, too? Now, if they would have brought back Isla Fisher. Sorry to cut you off, Gavin, but I mean, no Isla Fisher. Come on.
[0:47:09] Gavin: I mean, Now You See Me, too, probably doesn't have Clint Howard in it.
[0:47:12] Andrew: That's true. If we're talking box office, Now You See Me, too, definite winning the China factor.
[0:47:19] Eric: Right. Easy China factor. Eight point one of Rush. Now You See Me, too, six point four.
[0:47:25] Andrew: That feels right.
[0:47:26] Eric: Then Now You See Me, too, six point four against The Island from 2005.
[0:47:30] Andrew: Oh, fuck.
[0:47:31] Gavin: People didn't like The Island. Is that the Michael Bay movie?
[0:47:34] Geoff: Yeah. Yeah.
[0:47:35] Gavin: Where he used the same footage in Transformers.
[0:47:38] Geoff: Yeah. It's where, like, Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson find out they're clones and they escape the clone facility. Yeah. I'd go Now You See Me, too.
[0:47:46] Eric: Six point four. You think the island is lower than six point four? I do. It's, yeah.
[0:47:53] Gavin: Really? Ooh.
[0:47:55] Andrew: I don't, yeah. I hate the A in that poster for the island.
[0:47:59] Gavin: Like a mountain?
[0:48:00] Andrew: That, it just bothers me. Like, well, uh, are we picking Now You See Me, too? Is that the choice? Because the movie's not about mountains. Mountains have nothing to do with it. And all the other letters don't have, like, a funny font thing. It's only the A. It's very bothersome. Get it out of my face. It's Now You See Me, too.
[0:48:19] Gavin: I think I've heard of the other one more.
[0:48:21] Andrew: What does that mean?
[0:48:24] Gavin: I think it sounds like he's picking The Island. I just feel like The Island is, like, a Michael Bay movie.
[0:48:30] Andrew: I would, once again, in the context of what we're rating, what does that mean?
[0:48:36] Gavin: I think, I think potentially more stupid people would have seen The Island and liked it.
[0:48:40] Andrew: But the stupid people have to make the IMDb account to vote. Yeah, but a sequel? You think a sequel's higher? I think six point four is higher.
[0:48:49] Gavin: Okay.
[0:48:50] Andrew: I think I would struggle more with this if there wasn't a number on Now You See Me, too.
[0:48:54] Eric: Yeah, The Island, too, would definitely be lower, but it's neck and neck here. Jeff, what do you think?
[0:49:00] Andrew: Ah, fuck.
[0:49:01] Geoff: I think it's going to be close. Six point four is hard. It's going to be hard. It's hard to beat for what that movie is.
[0:49:08] Gavin: So you're the deciding vote.
[0:49:10] Geoff: I think I'm going to go. He doesn't want to be the deciding vote.
[0:49:16] Eric: I don't want to.
[0:49:17] Geoff: I've avoided being the deciding vote every time until this moment. Uh, I'm going to go with Now You See Me, too.
[0:49:25] Eric: Now You See Me, too. Six point four, The Island from 2005. Six point eight. We're out at 12, boys. 12's not bad. 12 is not bad. And that's an IMDb rating. That's a subjective thing. That's a tough, that's a tough go. Yeah. That's a real tough go.
[0:49:42] Geoff: You have to get into the mind of the people that are doing the rating. Yeah, and that sucks. You don't want to be there.
[0:49:47] Andrew: Seven? What?
[0:49:50] Geoff: What? I've got to watch The Patriot.
[0:49:53] Eric: It's better than The Island. And Now You See Me, too. Yeah. There you have it. Well, guys, this has been Regulation Over Under. Thank you so much for playing. [0:50:27] Geoff: I think I leaned heavily on the much younger and more in tune to society, Andrew and Gavin. I think they are responsible for the majority of our success.
[0:50:37] Andrew: I will say every time there was a split, Gavin was right. I think we got to lean even heavier on Gavin next time. Wow. Oh, interesting. We're learning.
[0:50:44] Gavin: Well, I was wrong about Transformers.
[0:50:46] Andrew: Okay.
